Life update- A new venture

By now I’m sure most of you will be aware I decided to put a pause/end to my professional cycling career. I’m still unsure if that is a decision that will change, but for sure in the near future I won’t be performing at a professional level.

Volta Portugal stage 5, my first pro win

This decision came after many years of battling with allergies. I came to a place where the physical aswell as mental strain became too much for me to justify it being worth it. As it was fair to say it had taken most of the enjoyment out of racing for me. I was using a treatment which worked well but was costing me a crazy amount of money, more money than I was making this year, to still not feel at my best. So yeh, a lot of stress to be trying to perform at your best level.

The future

I still have a huge passion and love for all things cycling, so I plan to do some fun/silly challenges. I’m still sussing out exactly what that will entail probably some gravel racing, but I will aim to share my stories on YouTube(I now have an up and running channel) and all social media platforms. In a dream world I would love to get some sponsors onboard, whether that be bike equipment/nutrition, travel or financial. Next to that I will take my passion for performance into helping other riders meet their full potential by doing some coaching.

Of course it is a big change, but I’m looking forward to the future and sharing my journey. I will keep the blog/website updated alongside my YouTube channel. Please feel free to follow my channel (linked on my home page). :)
